Your Privacy

As the data controller for Wonky Gate Fine Art Photography (my trading name), I am committed to protecting the privacy of my customers (which includes potential customers such as those visiting this website and/or making enquiries about my work) in compliance with the UK's GDPR. 

For customers' reassurance, I am pleased to outline below how  data is collected, used and stored when they visit this site, purchase prints or other works from me or otherwise communicate with me about my work.

Data Collection

In general, I collect only a limited amount of personal data from my customers. This is primarily in order to fulfill orders of prints and other works. I take great care with this data and unless I notify them otherwise either directly, through this site or by other appropriate method/s, should I, for example, use an offsite printing contractor for a particular print or prints, it will be held entirely in-house.

The Data I Hold

I aim to hold only the minimum amount of data required to fulfil orders and to provide my customers with excellent customer support. The main data I hold is the data provided during the order process, such as the customer's name, address, and email address. For whatever reason, a customer provides me with other information in correspondence between us. In such cases, they will be aware of the additional information they have provided to me.

I may also collect some data automatically, such as the IP address and browsing history of those using this website. This data is used to improve the website and my services and for no other purpose.

Payment Details

I do not hold payment details aside from those listed above. Other payment details such as bank and card number/s are held and processed by my payment provider and are subject to their security measures and data protection policies and procedures. Should a customer purchase from me using my payment provider, I will assume that they are satisfied with the payment provider's security measures and their compliance with relevant policies, rules and processes.

Data Security

I use industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Please message or email me if you require more information about my security measures.

Data Usage Within the UK

In relation to my prints and other works, customer data will be stored only on my in-house computers and backup drives and on third party emails servers (for example if a customer were to use Microsoft's Outlook to contact me). I will not release it to any third party unless I have given notice that this will be the case either through this website or specifically via email, message or other such means.

Data Retention

Once the shipping process has completed, should a customer wish to have their data removed from my systems, they can email or message me to request a full deletion of their data (aside from the limited exceptions described below) and this will be promptly actioned. In any event, other than data required for tax and other such purposes or for specific legal purposes, customer data will be deleted from my systems within six months of when it was last used or after a specifically agreed period (longer or shorter than six months), should such agreement be reached in a particular case.

International Data Transfers

I currently do not transfer data internationally. Should I do so, I will comply with all relevant data protection laws and will make reference to such on this page.
